Step-by-Step Portable Water Heater Set-Up Guide

Now that you have everything to hand, let’s walk through the simple steps to assemble your Country Comfort Water Heater. Here’s how to go from unboxing to enjoying a hot shower in just a few minutes.

1. Install the Batteries

- Looking at the unit. Open the battery compartment box on the right side.

- Begin by inserting your D-cell batteries into the unit. It’s advisable to use high-quality batteries, such as Duracell or Energiser, to keep your water heater running smoothly for longer.  

- Place the batteries in the compartment, ensuring they are positioned as follows:

- Positive end facing down at the back.

- Negative end facing down at the front.

- This step powers the ignition, lights the LED display, and holds the gas solenoid open – THIS HAPPENS ONCE WATER IS RUNNING THROUGH THE SYSTEM, enabling your heater to function correctly. 

2. Attach the Tap Connector

On the right-hand side of the unit, you’ll find the water inlet pipe. Secure the tap connector to this inlet; this is where water from your supply (tank or mains) enters the system. Twist it on firmly-there’s no need to over-tighten, as this could damage the connector.

3. Connect the Shower Hose

The middle pipe on the water heater is the shower outlet. Attach your 1.5-metre shower hose here. This is where the water comes out once it has been heated through the system. Attach your Premium 3 Setting shower head, featuring an easy push-on/off button, to enjoy a steady flow during your shower.

4. Secure the Gas Hose

The last connection point is on the left-hand side of the unit, labelled for gas input. Attach your LCC27 gas hose and regulator to this pipe. Again, fasten it securely, but avoid over-tightening; this keeps the system and its parts in good working condition.  

You can use either a 4kg or an 8.5kg gas bottle to power the unit. Both options are suitable; choose whichever one best fits your needs.

Make sure you check for gas leaks before operating the unit. This is shown in your instruction manual.

5. Connect Your Water Source

With all connectors and hoses in place, it’s time to attach a water source:

- Use a standard garden hose to connect your water supply to the tap connector.

- Ensure the water source is either mains pressurised or from a tank system providing sufficient pressure.

6. Switch On and Enjoy!

Once everything is connected, you’re ready to go:

- Turn on your water supply.

- Press the button on your shower head to allow water to flow, enabling the system to ignite.

- Turn on your gas supply.

- The system will heat (powered by the batteries), and within moments, you’ll have hot water for your shower! 

- Adjust your settings to reach your desired temperature.
